Let’s cut to the chase. My rates have always been lower than what most of the industries been told they should charge. My overhead is low, because I have a day job, which is in Civil Service.

2025 has ushered in a new administration, with a lot of changes, with the biggest impacts to assumed job security, with very little recourse. I will forego the chatter about these ever changing issues.

IF you are a Federal Employee

AND You book me to provide a wedding service

AND Your 33% deposit is paid in full

AND You lose your job due to DOGE activity

THEN as my client, you have two options!

1. If you are still getting married, your paid deposit is your new price.

2. If you cancel your wedding, you can get a full refund.

This is not to undermine any competitor, but each one has their own unique policies, and many are no refunds if cancelled, and may or may not give you a break based on your situation. If you’re at risk, this should be a conversation you have with your vendors. Nor, is this any legal advice at all.
