Happy New Years! I hope you made the best of 2025, and are optimistic about 2026.
2026 marks my 25th season running a business in weddings & events. Reflecting on 25 years, there has a been a lot of positive progress & not-so great progress in all the industries I offer services for, but that is to be expected.
But let’s focus on the changes for 2026!
Photobooth: No longer a stand-alone service. It was never intended to be a stand alone service, but it slowly did at the add-on pricing.
Contract Work: Mostly in the photography aspect of the business. It was convenient to fill open spots in my calendar. It didn’t take a long to realize I was covering weddings for photographers with less than 3 years in the business, that were over booking themselves, and brokering the work out last minute to their “associate photographer” using some petty “medical emergency” excuse so they could cover the better wedding of their booked clients. I got tired of having to ad-lib to their bullshit story, helping competition build their reputations, and worse off, providing a tremendous disservice to “our clients” by having to work from a zero-relationship position on what is one of the biggest & most stressful days in a couples life.
Pricing: Prices are staying the same in for 2026. There is no reason to raise rates when we are all facing more struggles with tariffs, taxes & inflation. I have been able to maintain great prices, great service, and rapid delivery for quite a few years, and don’t plan on changing that. To view my services, pricing and booking details, click here
